From 2004, Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation (KSCF) has, through concerted and sustained actions, demonstrated that the need for a child friendly society can be achieved through direct and continued grassroots level interaction. It continues to fight against all kinds of child rights violation, including child labour, child trafficking and child sexual abuse.

    • Mukti Carvan, the campaign on wheels against human trafficking was launched

    • Bal Mitra Mandal (child friendly community), a programme to empower children of urban slum communities was launched

    • 100 Million Campaign to mobilise 100 million youth to devote themselves for a better future for 100 million marginalised children was launched

    • An online social media campaign, ‘Full Stop’ against child sexual abuse was launched in partnership with BBA

    • Bal Mitra Gram received the Japanese Award for Most Innovative Development Project by Global Development Network

    • March was organized to demand education as a fundamental right in Nepal in partnership with BBA

    • South Asian march against child trafficking for forced labour - a 5000 km march joined by 1 million people (Kolkata-Kathmandu- Delhi) organised along with sister organisation Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA)

    • Second Children’s World Congress on child labor and education hosted in New Delhi, India.

    • Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation was founded by Mr. Kailash Satyarthi
    • Research was conducted for the first time on exploitation of children in circuses
    • Mr. Kailash Satyarthi with some activist brutally attacked during a raid in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh while rescuing trafficked Nepalese girls from a circus.
