Superhits 93.5 RED FM associated with Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation for their annual CSR initiative – Bajao For A Cause. Commencing from 12th June, 2018, Bajao For A Cause launched a year-long campaign for child protection against child labour, forced prostitution, trafficking, and sexual abuse. RED FM urged listeners to actively extend their support to the cause and donate for the underprivileged children all over India. Through this initiative the radio station shared real-life stories of brave survivor and plight of many other children who are still awaiting to be rescued. Commenting on their association with Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation, Nisha Narayanan, COO, Red FM says, “Bajate Raho being the Red FM’s mantra, ‘Bajao for a Cause’ is inherited in our DNA and we constantly thrive to practice it in our initiatives. We conduct this CSR campaign every year in all our markets and stations supporting multiple causes relevant to that region like education for sex workers’ children in Mumbai, installation of sanitary pad vending machines in 50 government schools in Kolkata, fund raising for abandoned kids in Delhi and this year child protection against exploitation of all kinds across India. We believe our collaboration with Mr. Satyrathi’s ‘Surakshit Bachpan’ initiative, will effectuate a positive change in the lives of young souls, wherein we will gift them a life which they deserve to live.” Commenting on the collaboration with RED FM, Kailash Satyarthi says, “We are delighted to be part of Bajao for a Cause this year. Today children are forced to lose their childhood and words are made shallow, due to lack of humanity and compassion. In turbulent times likes ours, it is very important to secure our children’s future at nascent stage. Any form of security will protect them from all kinds of untoward incidents. This initiative will help us push the message of child protection to the masses. The ideals of a progressive and free India will never be realised as long as our children are unsafe. This campaign saw a flash mob at Connaught place, a street play performance and several survivors of child sexual abuse and trafficking speaking out about their experiences. It culminated on 28 June with RJs from various RED FM radio stations convening for an event in Delhi with Shri Satyarthi.
