BMG Children Celebrate Teachers’ Day

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with utmost zeal and excitement across Bal Mitra Grams (BMGs) in Jharkhand’s Koderma and Giridih districts.

Over 4,300 children from these districts enthusiastically prepared and gifted beautiful greeting cards and paintings to their teachers. The children also paid their respects to KSCF’s founder and Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi by drawing his portraits and making greeting cards for him.

The Teachers’ Day programmes in the BMGs were successfully organised with the contribution of the Bal Panchayat leaders, school students, teachers, members of the Gram Panchayat, and community members.

“Teachers are the sculptors of our society and should be respected every day, not just on Teachers’ Day,” said Kajal Kumari, head of the Bal Panchayat of Bendi Bal Mitra Gram.

On this day, to mark the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President and Second President of India, children were also taught about his life struggles and achievements. This motivated the children to pursue their education with dedication and become change-makers like Dr Radhakrishnan in the future.

The occasion provided a golden opportunity for the children to unleash their artistic potential and express their gratitude to their mentors.
