Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation’s Training team had organized a program on June 25 at the Indore Police Training Centre in Madhya Pradesh on POCSO Act which was attended by officers from various districts. Indore Police also shared details about the training on their official social media platform.

The very next day two officers from Jabalpur Police – Kanhaiya Chaturvedi and r Jyoti Tiwari reached out to KSCF expert to seek guidance on relevant sections of POCSO Act and IPC with regards to matter pertaining to the case in question.

Based on inputs provided by KSCF, an FIR was lodged and the accused shopkeeper was arrested immediately.

It is heartening to note that following training organized by KSCF, the cops were able to initiate the process of ensuring justice for the traumatized child and take action against the accused as mandated by the law.
